Touchdowns with a cause - Media Class rooms

The National Football League, through the Mexican NFL and Fundación Televisa have renewed their alliance so that professional American Football benefits Mexico’s childhood and youth, through the donation of media class rooms. With this purpose, the project “Touchdowns with a cause” has been implemented in the 2006-2008 season of the NFL.
Program Objectives:
We are very conscious that in our country there is still a very wide gap in education, not only in regards to the ability of receiving quality education but also in regards to access to the technological advancements required for a docent activity more accord to our times. Taking into consideration the need to shorten distances in this road, we try to contribute to elevate education quality and provide equality of opportunities for students and teachers in elementary and junior high public schools.
How we help:
For every touchdown scored during the XLI Super Bowl, to be heals in Mimi, Florida on the 4th of February, the NFL and Fundación Televisa will provide a media class room for an elementary or middle public school.
Results:
With this program we hope to benefit 2,400 children with media class rooms. The total number of school rooms equipped will depend on the touchdowns scored. These donations will be allocated to schools in Naucalpan, Edo. de México.
The NFL and Fundación Televisa have joined forces around initiatives of this nature in the past, one noteworthy example being the donation of media class rooms in Tijuana, Baja California, during the XXXVII edition of the Super Bowl; and in various states in Mexico, during the first game of the regular NFL season healed in Mexico City in October 2005.
